IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT FOR ME?

This guide service is accommodating of most anglers and skill levels, but has limitations (who doesn't?). Please take careful consideration of these requirements and read on to make sure this is compatible to you and your trip needs, and that we are a right fit:

  • Can only host up to 2 anglers + me per trip. Total passenger weight 700 lbs. or less. My vessel is unable to accommodate more than 3 persons total. Crowded decks and weighed-down boat is a safety and navigational hazard, and we will not get on plane. My guide boat is not built for big people, as boat equipment has broke as a result of this.
  • MY BOAT HAS A WEIGHT CAPACITY. IF WE EXCEED, NO TRIP. READ ABOVE.
  • BOAT ENTRY AND DOCKING: Some public lakes we visit have piers at the boat landing, while majority of our public lakes do not. Piers can allow for easier entry into boat. We cannot guarantee that docks are present at boat landings for your entry into boat. All boat landing piers get taken out for the year in September/October, which could prevent some folks from fishing with us during the fall through early spring months. If struggling or unable to enter into vessel, please inform me immediately.
  • BOAT SET-UP AND FISHING STYLE: My boat layout is wide open for standing room and space, and is not set-up for sit-down fishing and slow-paced fishing (stationary or anchored). Only seat available for fishing is (1) pedestal butt seat. The boat's only true seating had is during navigation - idling and on plane. Our system and style of fishing caters best to strenuous and fast-paced. We go for boat rides from spot to spot, we fish and visit multiple waters each trip, and fish quickly when required. If wanting to sit and anchor fish all day, this is not for you. All anglers must be able to stand and cast from atop the boat's front deck.
  • ARE YOU FIT FOR THIS? I ask for your honesty, please. I can host anglers of all ages (to an extent). I will, under no condition, be willing to host if you (the guided angler(s)) have physical ailments that can negatively impact the success and results of our trip: (1) Must be able to stand for majority of trip day, be willing to work hard with me, and cast; (2) Must be able to walk and enter boat without aid and reliance on piers; (3) Cannot have balance or mobility issues that may result in destruction of equipment, taking a fall on boat floor, injury, or worst case falling from boat and into the water. Understandably, some elderly are one accident or injury away from a very serious situation. Putting yourself in this position is unfair to both you and I. NO EXCEPTIONS.

BOAT RULES

  • 100% Catch and Release policy on all smallmouth bass. I reserve the right to cancel and void trips on customers whose intentions are to keep and deplete the resource. All trophy bass and other gamefish caught are released.
  • No smoking is allowed onboard. Too many carpet burns, I am not an ash tray. Our sacred waters are not your personal garbage dump. Otherwise you will be returned to shore.
  • No aerosol sprays allowed. Sunscreens and bug sprays will damage my fish locator screens.
  • No bananas. Ever.
  • All children ages 14 and under must wear life jackets at all times.
  • All anglers ages 16 and over are required to have a valid Wisconsin fishing license.
  • Please do not bring large tackle boxes or gear bags that will clutter our boat space. All lures will be provided. Guests may bring a few favorite fishing rods of theirs.

INFORMATION AND TRIP POLICIES

  • I will guide from first week of May through end of October (weather permitting). Ask me about September and October muskie trips (advanced anglers and repeat customers only).
  • If your trip day is forecasted POOR for smallmouth fishing, I will recommend we fish for largemouth bass, or other species instead.
  • Rates are subject to change annually.
  • Wisconsin 5.5% sales tax included in all daily rates.
  • Gratuities (optional) are NOT included in rates.
  • Payment Methods: Checks, Cash, Venmo. Credit Cards accepted via. Square - will be subject to additional 10% service charge.
  • Partner guides are available upon request for accommodating larger groups and other species.
  • If your scheduled day's weather is deemed by me to be unfishable (hurricane, tornadoes, wind storm, thunderstorms, blizzard, watercraft advisory, etc), we will apply your trip & submitted deposit to the nearest next date if possible.
  • I reside in IL for half the year and may not be available for some weeks during the season due to my work responsibilities and married life. Please inquire with me early so we can coordinate schedules and my up north fishing availability for you, for the season. My monthly fishing schedule typically gets published 6 months in advance, and as such most trips throughout the year get booked up by March & April. Dates listed in GREEN on my online calendar indicate available/open fishing days. All dates not listed otherwise means I am booked already, will not be fishing, or unavailable those days.
