It’s been a while since the last post or check-in. I’ve been fishing around a little but it’s been difficult putting anything solid together when fishing effort level has only been in the 30-60% range. Also been enjoying life on land here in the north more than on water too. Northwoods Bass on land offers great land-based tours as well. I had intentions of getting a report out after Memorial Day weekend but the fishing then was not great. And we only spent 9 hours in the boat over 3 days. Not a very good sampling size. My recent visit was much better.  I had a long weekend and spent recent days on a bass bonanza. Far too many 8-14 inchers reside in some of our lakes. Despite catching in the triple digits not too many photo worthy ones. Both bass are definitely past spawn right now. Weeds and plant life also behind too and not where it should be at some places for middle of June. Chilly week this week won’t be helping anything. Hopefully next time I return a week and a half from now will be in middle of a nice warm front. Wherever you choose to fish in the next week, expect numbers everywhere.
